this will firm up. just a rough sketch. we’ve just began. and i want us to make the rules together. but for now:

• please create either nested city/state categories for your entries (as i have begun with Oregon) OR use tags OR both.

re: other categories, let’s not make a million different categories in general, but try to think smartly and nest them properly so it stays somewhat easy to navigate and order. That said, if you need to add one, go right ahead. This is OUR blog.

• it must be classified at all, this blog is a leftist blog/liberal blog. what does that mean here? only that there will be no right wing talking points/ideologies thrown around. the blog/your post doesnt have to be expressly political at all. but there will definitely be no right wing nonsense. it was y’all that broke the mess. shhhh.

• this should go without saying, but we’re not gonna contend with any racist stuff here. if the admin judges (and its my right to do so) that racist/misogynist/homophobic, etc, thought appears anywhere in a member’s post, the post gets zapped. unless it’s just unconscious lazy wording, etc. in which case the admin reserves the right to edit it out. but i don’t think this will be a problem at all. however, given my own blog, i’m sort of used to dealing with it so i thought i’d get the topic out of the way. :)

• on that note, the admin has the right to make all and any decisions needed (or actions taken) to insure the place retains a certain vibe, aura, or purpose. this includes banning, deleting, etc.

• there is no RULE about keeping posts short. but the idea is began with one idea/story/situation for each post. one sentence is fine. three short paragraphs are fine. if you find yourself going beyond this, think it over. only because the idea of this site as it was conceived is to present ideas or situations or photos easy to ingest. simple and stark. notes. signs. however i want you to tell your stories in any way you feel is best. so i’m not even posing this as a suggestion anymore.

• soon i will hook up everything proper. badges, technorati, etc. no time at the moment. got to work my paying job. :) but i’ll be back!
